Travelling to me is what the sleep is to the tired eyes! At times I wish I was professional traveler to get more out of life, joy and of course money. The thought of treading the unknown roads leading unveiled destinations and of exploring the hidden dales of marvels at far off places and countries have always drawn me like a magnet does to a piece of iron. I have often derived immense, pleasure, comfort, and relaxation from this world-famous hobby which everyone claim to possess and boast about. Well, here I want to share some brief yet exhilarating travel experiences that I gathered from visiting the mesmerizing South-East Asia. However, I kept this destination as the last option in my mind, but I cannot deny the amount of amusement and charisma that the country has presented me with.

The moment I stepped into the wide and white South-East Asian roads, the first thing that attracted my attention was the various kinds of people, their naïve demeanor and loving smiles that speaks oodles about their simplicity, innocence and charm. Their shining and humble smile and facial expressions are indicative of their warm and welcoming gestures and friendly attitudes. And that is why it is said, that a place is known by its people. But South-East Asia is certainly much more than its warm and amazing people of different communities and colorful backgrounds. You would be pleasantly surprised by the peoples’ modest lifestyle yet generous gestures that would make them invite you at their homes at the slightest hint of helpfulness and warmth from your end. The unmatched sense of service and hospitality will surely touch your heart!

And next, you would see the majestic sea beaches with their mighty and bountiful waves beckoning you to its bosom with beautiful, clean and white sanded-views of pure bliss. South-East Asian beaches have every reason to be considered as one of the best beaches in the world, which made Phuket and Bali, world-renowned beach destination across the globe. The views and sceneries of the islands called Cambodia and Vietnam had simply taken my breath away with its natural beauty and picturesque locations.  If you thought like me that the place lacks of splendid landmarks, then think again as you should go there prepared to witness and behold the awe-inspiring iconic and historical sites which include the thirty one world heritage sites apart from owning a breathtaking combination and treasures of varied wildlife and peaks of Mt. Kinabulu.  One cannot explain the exciting yet imposing feeling after standing face to face with the various temples of Angkor, Pagan and Borobudur.

Traveling should always be fun no matter if it is a business trip or a pleasure trip. You should try and make the most out of your trip. Hence, you need to keep in mind a few tips which would help in making your trip a pleasant one.

  • Pack your valuables and all important documents safely. You can even save details of some important contact numbers and other important information in your email account. So that in case you loose your ATM card or wallet, you can immediately have access to all your important documents.
  • Always keep your valuables like credit cards, cash and important documents in different bags and in fact even in different pockets. This would be helpful just in case you get robbed.
  • Pack liquids like shampoos, lotions or any syrup properly in waterproof bags so that they do not spill off while traveling. This simple tip would save your costly and delicate clothes from getting stained and dirty.
  • Backpacks are always easier to carry and as the bag rests on your lower back, you should always pack the lighter items at the bottom and the heavier ones on top. This would make the backpack lighter for your lower back and hence easier to carry.

  • Do not forget to carry your first aid kit. Check whether you have added every important medicine and some regular stuff like band aids, tweezers, and small scissors and motion sickness tablets.
  • A few important things that you should carry while traveling are camera, mobile chargers, torch, extra batteries for torch, travel pillow, locks etc.
